Veterans and communities need one another. Veterans and their families need more than what any individual person or organization can offer. Veterans bring skills and capabilities to communities. Communities bring opportunity, inclusion and focus to Veterans. Building networks and partnerships is necessary, but collaboration takes hard work and trust. There are organizations who are reaching out and making a difference, but to be sustainable we all need each other to support, encourage and bring together Veterans, communities and trusted organizations who understand the struggle, have pertinent training and provide applicable assistance for successful military-to-civilian transition.
WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
We are all aware there is a suicide epidemic sweeping our Veterans. Agree? Veterans have amazing skills and capabilities, but a fundamentally difficult time on varied levels reintegrating back into civilian life. Yes? I think we can agree society, our communities as a whole are bitterly divided and socially declining in many aspects. Yes? The United States alone has 45,000+ registered Veteran focused non-profits AND over 1.5 million registered public charities. Per the National Center for Charitable Statistics. The intent of charitable organizations is to provide help. Correct? Giving USA statistics state $358.38+ billion dollars were donated to charities annually (2014). Under the umbrella of millions of charitable organizations and billions of donated dollars, let me ask you this…
WHY ARE VETERANS NOT SHEDDING THEIR BURDENS AND THRIVING WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES?...
Because maybe the problem isn’t solely with our Veterans, maybe the problem also collectively lies within our society? Let’s put that in perspective. Neither the problem nor the solution is singular, rather far greater than any individual person, community or organization can offer. BBF recognizes the critical mass solution lies within uniting Veterans, communities and NPO's into a large cohesive allied TRIBE, which only minimally exists within today's social structure. We aim to change that.
IT'S TIME TO STAND TOGETHER...
Step up and join the fight. You can make a difference in your life and theirs. Be part of the solution. TRIBE UP with integration focused organizations, communities and like-minded individuals to engage Veterans in your community ONE STEP at a time.

We believe Veterans are America's greatest natural resource. We aim to win the war against the Veteran suicide epidemic and lift the many burdens that plague our returning Veterans by drawing together Veterans (and active duty), then utilize existing societal and community resources to unite the skills and experiences of Veterans and their families with their hometown communities and trusted NPOs to strengthen, focus, reshape and push forward as better physical, mental and emotional versions of themselves.
Since November 2017, we have been beta testing our theories gained during the Walk of Life and implementing anchors in numerous communities across the US with great success. In the warrior spirit of Deuce Four, we are taking the fight to the enemy and gearing up for a much larger SEMPER PARATUS TOUR of 24. A twenty-four city tour aimed at creating events designed to draw together Veterans, hometown communities and trusted NPOs to instigate relationships, open dialog and create leadership anchors to leave behind sustainable effective HQ support networks community-by-community.
